The album is done. Our long form vision of music is now realized. The previous singles released over the last few years have hinted at a style, a shade, a particular point in the modern gradient, but too small in mass to impress upon the quantum field. This LP is an arrival and a departure: one foot pushing off toward the next lap. The 43:00 running time provides a breach in what was, and what will be. This style probably won’t be employed again, not for any lack in oomph or resonance. For the ever-blossoming flower, each petal veers and careens toward its own important identity.
